Test fees, college application fees and other help are already funded for students in a lot of situations. Most of it goes unclaimed, because nobody tells you it exists or you cannot tell whether the rules mean you. SCRN checks you against programmes it has verified, shows you the requirement you meet, and sends you to the official application.
Free for students. It does not cost anything and it never will.
How it works
Answer a couple of questions
Two to start. Every question says why it is being asked, and every one can be skipped. Skipping means SCRN needs more information, never that you were turned down.

Each programme shows the requirement you appear to meet, what is still unknown, the deadline, the documents you need, and the official page the record came from.
Apply, then say what happened
The application happens on the provider's own site. SCRN tracks whether you actually received the thing, because that is the only outcome it counts.
How this is different from a list of links
Every programme traces to an official page
Nothing here is remembered, inferred or reconstructed. Each record was read off a page that was fetched and recorded, and carries the date it was last checked. If a source states no amount, SCRN says the amount varies rather than estimating one.
It will not guess about you
Answers are yes, no, or not enough information, and the third one stays the third one. SCRN will not assume something about your household in order to show you a result.
Rules decide eligibility, not a model
The reasons you are shown come from the same logic that produced the decision, so the explanation cannot drift away from what actually happened.
Only what you actually received counts
Matching you to something is worth nothing. Applying is worth nothing. Being approved is worth nothing. A benefit counts once there is evidence it reached you.

Both figures are counted from the database as this page loads, not typed in. SCRN is new and small, and it will only ever show you what it has actually checked. What counts as accessed support is written down in the methodology. No student has recorded receiving anything yet, so the second figure is zero. It stays zero until there is evidence behind it.
What SCRN asks of you
As little as it can. Your birth month and year, never the day. Household income as a range, never a figure. Questions are asked only when a specific programme needs the answer, and you are told which one is asking. SCRN cannot serve students under 13 yet, and says so at signup rather than collecting your details first.
