10,000 dollars, paid as 2,500 a year across four years, for a school leaver with a documented learning disability going on to a full time bachelor's degree. The documentation is usually your IEP, so the hardest part is often already done.

2,500 dollars a year for four years, 10,000 in total. Paid across the degree rather than in one go, so it keeps helping after the first year, which most scholarships this size do not.

What you need

The official page does not list required documents. Check the official page before you apply, since a provider can ask for paperwork it does not publish.

How to apply

  1. 1Get your documentation as a PDFAn IEP, or a formal document from your school psychologist, counsellor, or a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist. It has to be a PDF: photos and other file types are refused outright.
  2. 2File the FAFSA before applyingThe application asks for your FAFSA information and your family contribution figure, so it cannot be finished without one.
  3. 3Ask for one recommendationOne is enough. You also answer three personal questions, and those can be by video rather than in writing, which is worth knowing if writing is the harder route for you.
