Indiana Commission for Higher Education/Tuition assistance
Tuition and Fee Exemption for Children of Disabled Veterans
Up to 100 percent of tuition and fees for up to 124 credit hours at an Indiana public university, for the child of a veteran who was disabled or killed in service. Among the largest benefits in this catalogue and one of the least known.
Up to 100 percent of tuition and regularly assessed fees at the undergraduate resident rate, for up to 124 semester credit hours, at an Indiana public college. Where the veteran parent enlisted on or after 1 July 2011 the exemption is 20 percent plus the parent's VA disability percentage rather than the full amount. At a private non-profit college it is instead up to 5,000 dollars a year, and only for students who graduated high school on or after 1 January 2023.
