• Who can applyThe Johnson Scholars Foundation DirectConnect Scholarship will offer the successful candidate an award of $4,000 for two academic years ($1,000 per semester, Fall 2026, Spring 2027, Fall 2027, Spring 2028). Upon entry into Eastern Florida State College, the recipient is selected as a first-year student who is planning to earn an Associate degree at EFSC and enroll in a Bachelor's degree program through DirectConnect to UCF at EFSC . The recipient will be considered for a scholarship renewal upon transferring to the University of Central Florida.
• Who can applyThe recipient must participate in Johnson Scholars co-curricular programs, including advising meetings, undergraduate research, and Johnson Scholars Social Programs. The recipient must: be a first-year student (freshman) have less than 15 earned credit hours have (or plan to) enroll in the UCF DirectConnect Program within their first semester at EFSC have a financial need have a minimum 2.5 GPA describe your future educational goals complete the post-acceptance process upon acceptance of the award (instructions will be given to the recipient once awarded)
