• Who can apply2026-2027 Academic Year Award The NSP Presidential Scholarship affords CSUN undergraduate students the opportunity to work with CSUN faculty mentors on significant original work . Students are funded to undertake a research, creative, or applied project that will advance their chosen field of interest and/or contribute to the CSUN community. To be eligible for this award, students must develop their own project that is independent of their mentor's ongoing research. While the project can be tangentially related, it must be the student's original work.
• Who can applyThe Presidential Scholars award includes: A $10,000 award for selected qualified student/s A textbook discount at the Matador Bookstore Priority Registration for Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 for selected Awardees. In addition to the scholarship application materials, applicants must complete one of two pre-application requirements. Applicants must review the online pre-application information and complete a mandatory survey. Alternatively, applicants may attend one of three Zoom sessions in place of the survey to confirm their understanding of the application requirements.
• Who can applyThe application will close on January 31, 2027. Eligibility Requirements: Must review the online pre-application information and complete the required survey, or attend one (1) Zoom session to confirm understanding of the application requirements. Students planning to graduate in the Fall 2027 term are not eligible to apply.
• Who can applyContinuing CSUN students must be on track to complete 60 cumulative units by the end of the Spring 2027 term. If you have completed more than 96 units, you must explain the circumstances. Current Transfer students must be on track to complete at least 24 CSUN units by the end of the Spring 2027 term. Must be an undergraduate student enrolled full-time during the award year (Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 terms) A minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA is required. Must review the online pre-application information and complete the required survey, or attend one (1) Zoom session.
• Who can applyThe award is for the 2027-2028 academic year; thus, the proposed project should be completed over the 2027-2028 academic year. Students must present their project or research at the CSUNPosium or a professional conference in the Spring 2028 term. Selected students are highly encouraged to attend the free Advancement to Graduate Education ( AGE ) Conference in the Fall 2027 term (or a similar event hosted by the Graduate Studies Department). No late applications accepted. All materials are due by 11:59 p.m. on 1/31/27.

• Who can apply7, 2027 - 10:00 - 11:00 AM - Thursday - Register Note: If you are receiving Financial Aid (including loans), your financial aid award(s) may be adjusted if you receive a scholarship amount that exceeds your financial aid total limit. Speak to a financial aid counselor during walk-in hours to get a detailed overview about your individual situation. If selected, your GPA , unit completion, full-time enrollment status, graduation term, awarding term, and other eligibility requirements will be verified before the award is disbursed.
• Who can applyAny changes to these factors may result in forfeiture of the award. The scholarship may also be terminated at any time for reasons including, but not limited to, intentional misrepresentation or provision of false information in the application.
