Ohio Adoption Grant
Amount variesLimited number available
A one off 2,500 dollars toward college for Ohio students who were adopted, where the adoption was finalised on or after 1 January 2023. Stepparent adoptions do not count. Anything left over after one year carries to the next.

What you need
The official page does not list required documents. Check the official page before you apply, since a provider can ask for paperwork it does not publish.
How to apply
- 1Check the finalisation date on the adoption orderOn or after 1 January 2023 is the test, and it is the date on the order rather than the date you moved in. This one condition decides the whole thing, so confirm it before doing anything else.
- 2Apply through the Ohio Department of Higher EducationThe chancellor sets the form and the process, and pays the grant to your institution rather than to you. Ask their financial aid office if you cannot find the application.
